From the beginnings to a system supplier

GEBHARDT Automation was founded in 1988. From its original focus on digital miniature controllers, the company has grown into a system supplier for industrial automation. It was founded by Dr. B. Gebhardt, his brother Dipl.-Ing. U. Gebhardt and Dipl.-Ing. M. Pesavento.

We develop and build protection and control systems for the process industry. Since 1997 we have additionally offered control cabinet solutions.

Safety in black and white

We carry out quality controls in every project phase, including complete documentation. The company is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Regular internal and external audits with TÜV Rheinland ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of the requirements.

TÜV-tested

All life cycles – in particular planning, development, manufacturing and modification management – are carried out according to IEC 61508. TÜV Rheinland conducts regular assessments. Environmental compatibility is tested in accordance with EU directives and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is verified.

High performance, modular by design

All modules for safety technology, control technology and machine monitoring can be freely combined. Identical modules can be used up to triple-redundant within a system. In addition, individual systems can be configured as a redundant overall system in DUPLEX or TMR mode – as distributed redundancy.

Maximum operational safety

All safety-relevant modules are already redundant and fault-tolerant in themselves. This enables SIL3 safety even in single operation. As long as a redundant module remains available, all modules can be replaced during ongoing operation.
