Faster, more powerful, optimum failure handling – GA BlueLine² systems are the basic building blocks of high-availability, failure-proof automation hardware of the next generation. They are the optimal choice especially for MPS solutions. The BlueLine² systems include FSX buses with a parallel DSP bus and integrated 2 x 100 MBit/s Ethernet on the backplane as well as an ICU-M3 with a faster microprocessor.
The modular systems are available in three sizes: a compact /C version with 6 I/O slots, a medium /M version with 12 I/O slots and a large /L version with 18 I/O slots, for I/O cards and CPU. Combinations of /C and /M or 3 times /C in a single rack are also available.
In addition to the classic rack design, with field connections via standardized data cables using Sub-D 50-pin connectors, there are also racks with direct field connection via spring clamp terminals.
All standard GA cards can be operated together with new Ethernet-based GA cards (e.g. MPAD-S) on one backplane.
