The MCADA-S is an analogue input and output card with 8 channels each. It is certified for safety functions up to SIL3.

Eight analogue inputs with 14-bit accuracy read current signals of 0 ... 25 mA and feature error detection for cable damage, short-circuiting and transmitter range breach. Eight current outputs with 16-bit resolution are available for field signals.

The redundant internal design with two signal processors that monitor each other provides the card’s internal fault tolerance. Internal diagnostics, program execution control and signal diagnostics ensure an extremely high level of error detection.
